Zhejiang Sentai Chemical Co., Ltd. is situated in the north-east of Zhejiang province, on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay. Shanghai-Hangzhou High Way runs right past the plant. The plant is 70 kilometers from SINOPEC Shanghai Petrochemical Co.,Ltd.(SPC), 10 kilometers from the great Eastern Harbour Zhapu and 120 kilometers from Hangzhou, enjoying convenient transportation advantages.

The plant, founded in April of 1986, entered into a joint venture with the Refining-Chemical Department of SPC which offers 55000 tons a year of C10 cut. It covers an area of more than 6.67 hectares, with fixed assets of 60 million yuan, and working capital of 40 million yuan. It possesses 150 workers and staff members, among whom are six senior engineers and fifteen technical personnel. It has four workshops and one filling station. Main products: high boiling aromatic solvent oil(3,300mts/a.), durene, mixed benzene, gasoline, diesel oil etc., residue, etc. In Zhejiang province, the plant is ranked as "strictly abiding by contracts and honoring its commitments" and as an "enterprise with hyper credit rating". Its production of durene has been listed by the State Science Commission in the Torch Program for the Eighth Five-Year Plan.
